The Chow Chow is a medium size dog. It is a very furry dog and has a distinctive feature of a purple tongue. It can weigh between 45 to 70 pounds and grow to a height of about 17 to 20 inches. The Chow Chow is very loyal to family and can be wary and aggressive to strangers without proper training.
Because of the amount of fur a Chow Chow has, the location to keep one will have to be taken into consideration.
