The history of the Borzoi can be traced all the way back to the 13th century in Russia. It was mainly used back then to hunt wolves and was highly regarded. Because of this, it was rarely sold and always given away as a gift. The Borzoi is a large and slender dog. It is affectionate toward family but can be stubborn and independent. Because of it’s history, it still has an urge to search and hunt and runs a lot.
