The Black and Tan Coonhound is a large muscular dog. It was originally bred to hunt opossum and raccoons. It’s a really easy going friendly dog that gets along with everyone. It does well with a family in a rural or suburban location. Some special needs of this dog is to clean it’s ear and a yard for enough exercise.
The Black and Tan Coonhound can grow to approximately 23 to 27 inches and can weigh between 40 to 75 lbs.
