The Bichon Frise is a charming little dog that is lively and very affectionate. They are virtually hypo-allergenic with their soft white coat. They have been used as watchdogs and to perform tricks and is also very competitive and obedient. The Bichon Frise was one of the “Yuppie Puppies” very popular in the 1980’s. As a result many were carelessly over-bred and some Bichon lines can be snippy. Be sure to find a reputable breeder with the best personality traits to offer.

This bold, lively intelligent and affectionate breed loves human company. They are easy to train and are happiest when they are part of the family. They can be hard to housebreak.
